Daysli Terms of Service

Version of 28 October 2026 (paying on the web through Paddle; the Refund Policy; plan features on the web). Replaces the terms of 27 October 2026.

These terms are the agreement between you and Portside Agency Pvt Ltd, a private company incorporated in the Republic of Maldives (registration number C00212023), H. Maadhoofiya, 10th Floor, Karankaa Magu, Malé 20082, Maldives, which provides Daysli ("Daysli", "we", "us"). Customer care: care@mail.daysli.com; business and service operations: team@daysli.com. By creating an account or using Daysli you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Daysli. The plans (Daysli Web and Daysli Native, called Daysli Pro in the Android app) are also covered by the Daysli Plans Terms and the Refund Policy, and how we handle personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

1. What Daysli is

Daysli is a personal organiser: your calendar, to-dos, a private journal, the people in your life, and an optional public page at daysli.com/your-name where others can ask for your time or send you something to do. On Android, Daysli Pro adds Daysli Ring (voice calls by Daysli name), Encounter (connecting in person) and availability.

Nothing enters your day without you. Anything that arrives from someone else is a request, and becomes an appointment or a to-do only when you accept it.

2. Other people, and what we are not responsible for

Daysli is a tool, not a party to your dealings with other people. When you book, accept, connect, call, meet or otherwise deal with someone through Daysli, the arrangement is between you and them. We do not act as agent, broker, employer, guarantor or representative of either side. We do not check who people are beyond their sign-in, do not screen users, check qualifications or backgrounds, and do not supervise calls or meetings, in person or otherwise. What other users say, show, send or do — on their pages, in requests, in calls, in Encounters and when you meet — is their own responsibility, not ours. Decide for yourself whom to trust; meet new people in public places and tell someone you trust where you are going.

This does not reduce our own responsibilities: for running Daysli with reasonable care and skill, for keeping our promises in these terms and the Privacy Policy, and for acting on reports of illegal content (section 11).

3. Who can use it

You must be at least 16 years old, or older if the law where you live requires it for using a service like this without a parent's consent. If you live in India, you must be at least 18. You must be able to make a binding agreement, and must not be barred from using the service by law.

Daysli is mainly for personal use. You may also use it for your work, for example to let clients book time with you. Then you accept these terms for your business too, and section 15 (data you hold about your clients) applies.

4. Your account

You sign in with a code sent to your email address, or with a method you add (such as a passkey or Google sign-in), and you can add an authenticator app as an extra check. Keep access to them: they are how you get in. One person, one account; do not share it. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in methods and your journal recovery code safe. Tell us at care@mail.daysli.com if you think someone else has access.

5. Your content

What you put into Daysli — events, to-dos, journal entries, photos, notes about people, your page — stays yours. You give us a limited permission to store, copy, process, transmit and display it only as needed to run Daysli for you: to show it to you and to the people you choose, to send what you ask us to send, to keep backups, and to keep the service secure. That permission ends when the content is deleted, subject to the backup periods in the Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content, use it for advertising, or use it to train third-party or general-purpose AI models.

You are responsible for what you put in, including what you write about other people and photos of them, and you confirm you have the right to put it there.

6. Public pages, requests and People

Your public page is off until you turn it on. While it is on, what you chose to show is visible to anyone with the address, including which times you have free (never what you are doing). Anyone can send you a request through it; you decide whether to accept. You can block a sender, and turn the page off at any time.

People is your private record of the people in your life. Connecting with another Daysli user (Connect, through their page) adds each of you to the other's People with the names and page addresses you chose to show; nothing private is exchanged, and a Connect never records that you met in person. You are responsible for keeping what you record about others lawful and respectful.

Moments. Signed-in Daysli members can share short text moments on someone's page, and reply to them; visitors who are not signed in can only read. A page's owner chooses who may share (their connections straight away and other members after the owner approves; only their connections; or nobody), and whether moments are shown to everyone who visits the page or only to people signed in to Daysli. A moment shows your display name and, if your page is on, its address. You can delete what you shared; the page's owner can approve, hide or remove it, and block you from sharing on their page. Share only what you are entitled to share and what the person would welcome; acceptable use (section 10) applies. Nothing from your journal, calendar or People is ever posted as a moment. Search engines are shown your moments only if you allow it (Page › Moments › "Let search engines show moments I share"), which is off unless you turn it on, and then only on pages whose owners let search engines show them. You can turn it off at any time; search results update when search engines next visit.

6A. Invitations and rewards

Invitations. You can share your personal invitation link, or ask Daysli to send an invitation email to someone you know who would welcome it. Send invitations only to people you know personally. Daysli sends at most 15 a day for you, and an address receives at most 3 Daysli invitations in 30 days from everyone together. Anyone can stop all Daysli invitations to their address with the link in the email. We keep only a one-way code of an invited address, never the address itself.

Rewards. While we run an invitation campaign, when 5 people who joined with your link have set up their accounts and used them for a day, you receive 90 days of Daysli Web free, once per account. If you are paying when you earn it, it starts when your paid plan ends. A reward is complimentary access. It is not money, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and never leads to a charge: when it ends, nothing is charged unless you choose a plan. We do not count accounts that look made to collect rewards (for example many sign-ups from one place on one day, or throwaway email addresses), and we may withhold or remove a reward obtained that way. We may end a campaign at any time; rewards already earned are kept.

7. Plan features: Ring, Encounter, availability and Mail

These features come with a plan (Daysli Web or Daysli Native). Ring and Mail also work in the browser with Daysli Web; calls that reach you while the app is closed, Encounter and availability need the Daysli app (Daysli Native).

Ring lets you call other Daysli Pro users by their Daysli name. When you turn Ring on, your current page name becomes your Ring calling ID. Because people recognise and trust that ID, changes are limited; you can ask us to change it for a safety, privacy, legal, security or genuine personal reason, and we will not refuse unreasonably. Calls are end-to-end encrypted between the callers' devices (phones or browsers): we cannot listen to them, and we do not record them. We keep a record of calls (who called whom, when, how long, how they ended) for 90 days, to run the service and handle abuse. Each person controls who may ring them, can block anyone, and can report a call.

Encounter connects two people who are together in person, only when both say yes. Availability lets you tell your connections when you are free to talk; it is a statement you choose, never your location or online status.

You must not use Ring, Encounter or availability to harass, threaten, deceive, stalk or spam anyone, or record a call without the consent the law requires. Daysli Ring is not a telephone service. It cannot call phone numbers or emergency services; do not rely on it in an emergency.

Daysli Mail gives you an email address at mail.daysli.com, made from your page name; the Daysli Plans Terms (section 8A) set out how it works, its limits, and what happens to your mail if Pro ends. Messages you send by Daysli Mail are your content (section 5): you are responsible for them.

8. Connected calendars and the calendar feed

You can connect Google Calendar (you sign in with Google) or iCloud Calendar (with your Apple Account email and an app-specific password you create at Apple, which we keep encrypted). Microsoft calendars are not available yet. When you connect a calendar, you allow Daysli to read your busy times and, unless you choose otherwise, to write your Daysli events and accepted appointments to the calendar you pick. You can disconnect at any time: this stops it and removes the busy times we imported; appointments already written to your calendar stay there until you delete them.

If you turn on the optional Apple Calendar feed, Daysli makes a secret link that calendar apps can subscribe to. Anyone who has that link can read the events and accepted appointments in it, without signing in (never notes, to-dos or your journal). Treat it like a password. You can reset the link or turn the feed off at any time.

Daysli also relies on services we do not control (hosting, email, push notifications, the app stores). They have their own terms. When one is unavailable, the part of Daysli that needs it may be too.

9. Your journal

Your journal is encrypted on your device with keys we do not hold. If you lose every enrolled device and your recovery code, nobody — including us — can recover it. This is a consequence of the design, not a defect; please keep your recovery code safe and your own copies of anything important.

10. Acceptable use

You must not:

11. Reporting illegal content, and how we act

Anyone can report content on Daysli they believe is illegal or breaks these terms — on a public page, in a request, in a moment, or in a Ring call — with the form at daysli.com/help, or by writing to care@mail.daysli.com (our single point of contact for users under the EU Digital Services Act; authorities write to team@daysli.com; English, please). In the app, you can also report a Ring call or a moment. Please include where the content is (its address, or the person and time), why you believe it is illegal, and your name and email address (except for reports of child sexual abuse material, which may be anonymous), and confirm that your report is accurate and made in good faith. Copyright and other intellectual property complaints go to the same address.

We review reports promptly, carefully and objectively, by a person; we do not use automated content moderation (only rate limits, bot protection on public forms and security filters). We may remove or disable content, limit features, or suspend or close an account, or decide to take no action. We tell the person who reported what we decided. If we restrict your content or account, we tell you what we did, why, which rule or law it was based on, and how to ask us to look again (reply to our message; a different person reviews it), unless the law or a safety need prevents it. We may suspend people who often send clearly unfounded reports.

12. Developer tokens and webhooks

Tokens you create let your own software use Daysli on your behalf within the scopes you choose. Keep them secret; you are responsible for what is done with them and for the endpoints you send webhooks to. We may revoke tokens or turn off webhooks that are misused.

13. Our rights, and your feedback

Daysli — its software, design, name and marks — belongs to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use it as offered. If you send us feedback, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it to improve Daysli; this does not let us use your personal data contrary to the Privacy Policy.

14. Availability and changes to Daysli

Plans. Daysli is offered in two plans: Daysli Web (US$4.49 a month or US$44.99 a year) and Daysli Native (US$8.99 a month or US$89.99 a year, which includes Daysli Web). The Daysli Plans Terms say what each includes and how paying works, and the Refund Policy when you get money back. On the web, our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com, the merchant of record for all web orders; in the Android app, Google Play takes the payment. Until web subscriptions open, Daysli on the web is free to use. We will tell every member at least 30 days before using Daysli on the web needs a plan, and nothing is ever charged unless you choose one. Whatever you choose, your account and everything in it stay yours: you can always sign in, read, export and delete everything, and nothing is deleted because you did not pay (except Daysli Mail, as the Plans Terms say).

We work to keep Daysli available and secure, but it may be interrupted or have errors. We may change Daysli for valid reasons: security, the law, technical changes, improving or adapting features, or changes by the platforms Daysli runs on. If a change takes away something material that you use, we will tell you in advance where we reasonably can. For the plans, the Daysli Plans Terms also apply: if a change affects your access to or use of a paid feature in more than a minor way, you may end your plan free of charge and get the unused part of a prepaid period back. Daysli is not a reminder of last resort: notifications depend on your device, network and platform.

15. Data you hold about your clients (business use)

If you use Daysli for your work and keep personal data about clients or others in it (for example bookings through your page, or People entries), you are responsible for that data and for having a lawful reason to keep it, and we process it on your behalf, as your processor, under these conditions: we process it only to provide Daysli as these terms and your settings describe (your instructions); our staff who can access it are bound to confidentiality; we protect it as the Privacy Policy's security section describes; we use the providers listed in the Privacy Policy as sub-processors and will list any change there before it applies (you may object by closing your account); we help you answer requests from the people concerned and meet your security and breach obligations, as far as we reasonably can; we delete the data when you delete it or your account, as the Privacy Policy's retention section describes; and we give you the information you reasonably need to show these conditions are met. If you need a signed data processing agreement, write to team@daysli.com.

16. Suspension, termination and deletion

You can stop using Daysli at any time, and delete your account in the app, at daysli.com/delete-account, or by writing to care@mail.daysli.com. Deletion can be reversed for 30 days if you ask us; after that your data is deleted as the Privacy Policy describes.

We may suspend or close an account, or a feature for it, if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if needed to protect people or the service, or where the law requires it. We will tell you why as section 11 describes and, where reasonable, give you a chance to respond first. If we stop running Daysli altogether, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data. Plans affected are handled under the Daysli Plans Terms and the Refund Policy.

If you are a consumer, the law where you live may give you rights that these terms cannot take away, for example that Daysli and Daysli Pro match their description, are supplied with reasonable care and skill, receive the updates needed to keep them working as described, and that you have remedies if they do not. Nothing in these terms limits those rights. Where these terms and those rights differ, those rights win.

18. Warranties

Apart from those rights and the promises we make in these terms and the Privacy Policy, Daysli is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

19. Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or goodwill; (b) we are not liable for what other users do (section 2), for arrangements between users, or for services we do not control; (c) we are not liable for journal content that cannot be decrypted because every device and the recovery code that could open it were lost; and (d) our total liability for all claims relating to Daysli is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Daysli in the twelve months before the claim arose, or US$100.

If you are a consumer, (a) and (d) do not apply to loss that was a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill, to remedies for Daysli or Daysli Pro not being supplied as described, or to our responsibilities under data protection law. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

20. Claims caused by your business use

If you use Daysli for business, you will cover the reasonable costs and damages we incur from a third-party claim caused by your unlawful content, your breach of these terms, or your misuse of Daysli, except to the extent we caused it, provided we tell you promptly and let you take part in the defence. If you are a consumer, you are responsible to us only as the law where you live provides.

21. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as an outage at a hosting, network or platform provider, an act of government, a natural disaster, war, or a widespread failure of the internet. We will do what we reasonably can to limit the effect and restore Daysli.

22. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Maldives. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you habitually live. You may bring proceedings against us in the courts of the Maldives or of the country where you live, and we may bring proceedings against you only in the courts of the country where you live. Otherwise the courts of the Maldives have jurisdiction. Before going to court, please write to care@mail.daysli.com so we can try to resolve it; we reply within 30 days.

23. Other terms

We may transfer these terms to a successor that takes over running Daysli, with notice to you, provided your rights are not reduced. If part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver. We may change these terms; if a change materially affects you, we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect (sooner only where the law or a security need requires), and you may stop using Daysli or cancel Pro before then. These terms, the Daysli Plans Terms, the Refund Policy and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between us about Daysli.
